As a real estate agent, I work with people on one of the biggest financial and emotional decisions of their lives. I help them find their HOME… where they will set roots, where dogs will bark and play in the backyard, where children blossom and grow, where precious memories are created, where life and love flourish.  There is an undeniable emotional connection that is made between myself and my clients during the home buying and selling process, but once the exciting part is over… then what? Even when I am done playing matchmaker, matching people’s hearts to their home, I still hope to be in my clients’ lives. Aside from social visits (which of course, I love!), here are four ways I can be of service, post closing.

Connect you with quality home service professionals:

Experience has taught me who’s great, who’s not so great, and what you might want to think about and ask when talking to them. If I don’t have personal experience or a recommendation for you, I have a network of partners to ask for a quality referral as well.

Prepare a complimentary market analysis:

Your home is a big asset, and if you ever want to know what it is worth, I can give you an analysis that is far more accurate than what you will get from Zillow or other online resources. This info can be helpful if you are considering a refinance, trying to remove mortgage insurance, getting a HELOC (home equity line of credit), pulling equity for another purchase, etc. Or if you just want to satisfy the natural curiosity of “what is my home worth?”- I can get you a very realistic value.

Give you a professional opinion on a home project:

Will upgrading your primary bath increase your home’s value? How about solar? Is a kitchen remodel worth it? I’ve been involved in a lot of renovation projects and can give you some guidance. If you don’t plan on being in your home long-term, I can also offer perspective on what buyers are looking for to determine the best projects to tackle, and which to avoid, to maximize your return on investment on home projects.

Help protest your tax assessment:

This is not an assessment year, but 2025 will be, so remember this one for the future! Your property taxes are assessed every other year. Think your tax assessment is too high? I can help you protest them. While you have to do the protest yourself, I can pull comparable sales and recent market activity together so that you have the data in hand to fight the uptick in taxes. I have helped many people over the past few assessment cycles, and I have a few tips and pointers that may help your protest be more effective.

Now that you have some idea of how else I can be of service to you, please reach out! I am always happy to help outside of the buy/sell process and hope to be your Real Estate Advisor FOR LIFE. But if you don’t need my assistance or opinion soon, I would still love to grab dinner or a cup of coffee sometime too!
